We have just returned from Kalymnos, a regular holiday spot for my husband and I. We stayed for the 2nd time at Apollonia Apartments and the Magriplis family. This trip also ties in a work assignment - my photographer husband Tertius and I are doing a travel feature on our favourite holiday destination. We researched dozens of accommodation options, and I can sincerely pledge that Apollonia is in a class of its own. It is beautifully appointed, under 30 metres to the beach, but it is the quality of the apartments and the high standards the family have set that make it the best option to stay on the island. It is simply outstanding....don't look any further because you will not find anything better.

Great family hotel, excellent service and friendly atmosphere, they do speak fluent english as well !!!

la zona de escalada es increible, muchos sectores y todo tipo de vias, desde placas verticales a desplomes increibles llenos de chorreras y todo tipo de grados. No olvideis la grande grotta!!!!!
En apollonia studios hemos encontrado todo lo necesario para estar comodos, frigorifico, todo lo necesario para cocinar, pues aunque comer poe ahi es barato es muy pesada la gastronomia, un balcon con bonitas vistas al mar, habitacion espaciosa y dos mesas para comer una en la habitaci'on y otra en el balcon.
El trato y la hospitalidad tanto en el aprtamento como en la isla es maravilloso.
Volveremos tan pronto como podamos.

Especially thanks to you and your familly.It's a great pleasure for us to meet on holiday so many smilling and welcoming people.We just look forward to getting back to kalymnos as soon as possible!!..

Just returned from my second trip to Kalymnos and both times stayed at the Appollonia with Nick and his family - have already booked for October too! Both weeks have been just about perfect - the fantastic climbing and the genuinely warm Greek people make for a very relaxed holiday. The Appollonia apartments are clean with great views and Nick and his family are very welcoming. The 30 euros (for two people) for a double room is great value ...........get it booked ! thanks Nick, Pete Sutton, Derbyshire

Isola stupenda, come le persone che ci abitano si crea un ottimo rapporto di amicizia e si passano delle serarte in allegria. Da Nikolas, alloggio e camere sono tenute in ottimo stato, con pulizia giornaliera degli alloggi e una disponibilita di Nikolas di risolveri tutti i problemi, in posizione buona x noi arrampicatori. che dire dell'arrampicata venire x credere e sono sicuro che prima o poi ci si torna.

Nous sommes partis un groupe de 7 pour 10 jours d`escalade a Kalymnos. On nous avait dit que c`etait le paradis de la grimpe on confirme ... Sites, voies et equipement exceptionnels pour tous les niveaux.
Nous avons loge aux studios Apollonia : c`est propre, spacieux et tres belle vue avec plage de l`autre cote de la rue (le top apres la grimpe). Que du bonheur avec l`envie de revenir le plus tot possible. les Michoux, Svana,Myriam, Denis, Sophie et Steph.

Nous sommes un couple de jeunes grimpeurs Francais: Amelie et Benjamin.Reactions suite a ce fabuleux sejour:
Kalymnos est une ile magnifique avec une ambiance tres conviviale et amicale, les studios appolonia sont tres confortables, propres et biens equipes: et le plus agreable reste la vue sur la mer et la situation optimale: la plage est juste en contre bas et les sites d escalade sont proches: vue sur grande grotta. la residence est situee au coeur de massouri avec toutes les commodites autour: supermarket, location de scooter...Les proprietaires sont vraiment super sympa et font tout pour que le sejour se passe pour le mieux!!!
Un sejour inoubliable plage et grimpe exeptionnel avec une seule envie: revenir au plus vite et pour longtemps!!

Possibly some of the best apartments we have visited in Greece (And I have been to quite a few). Only been back a few days and already I am starting the planning for our groups next trip out.

The apartments all have air con, fantastic views out to Telendos, are ideally situated for the main climbing sectors,local bars and shops and the beach.

The large terraces on the middle floor apartments are great for larger groups such as our party (13). We had quite a few relaxed meals on the terace while watching the sun set and planning the following days climbing.

For both climbers and general tourists I would not hesitate to reccommend the apartments - you will not find better!!

Hi Nick. Thankyou very much for a wonderful stay at your studio/appartments. They are very clean and well cared for with fabulous views of Telendos especialy at sunset. We were made very welcome and you and your family looked after us wonderfully. The linen and towels provided were of superior quality and the balconies and terrace were very nice for a lounging on especialy in the evenings with a meal and watching the sunset. The local taverna's and bars were very accomodating and Panos directly opposite was one of our favorties. The beach was very close and there is a good minimarket directly next door. I have no hesitation on giving a high recommendation for anyone wishing to stay at the Apollonia. Steve & Lesley 12 to the 19 September 2007.

we spent a very good time in Kalymnos, to bad we only stayed for one week! We were happy to stay in your nice studio: wonderfull view, nice room and balcony, perfect service, very clean... very friendly family. (yor father told us a lot of the sponge-diving history)
The climbing on the island is excellent.
It was hard to leave the place and fly back to Switzerland were the snow was already on 1500 m yeaterday.

We are two climbers and stayed at Appollonia for a week at the end of September. The accomodation & location was perfect for us - clean, spacious and a great shower. The view of Telendos from the balcony was superb. Nick and his family were great and we have no hesitation recommending Appollonia to others. Mike & Grainne.
